August 2008 - Boots

When you next place your order online at www.boots.com the chances are that your products will be despatched by Autotech’s controls at the distribution new facility in Birmingham.  Interfacing directly to the Boots order planning computers Autotech’s high and low level conveyor controls automatically transport the order to the appropriate delivery lorry.  The new Birmingham facility will ensure picked orders are processed with greater speed and more accurately helping Boots continue to achieve maximum customer satisfaction.

 

June 2008 - Allied Distillers – Chivas

Autotech are pleased to be again working with Excel Automation to deliver the third phase of the conveyor and crane modernisation plan at the Chivas Dunbarton facility; this will result in the entire packaged goods palletising, storage and despatch facilities being completely upgraded. Using Autotech’s proven control solutions and careful planning the facilities production output has been maintained throughout the three year programme.

 

April 2008 – Operational efficiency monitoring at Bentley Motors

Production facilities must be optimised and maintained to the highest levels to achieve production levels modern businesses require........  Autotech have the products and experience to help monitor complex automated systems so that businesses can better understand and analyse their systems performance.  Autotech’s 'FactoryMonitor' software solution has been successfully installed within the Trim Shop facility and is soon to be expanded plant wide.

 

May 2007 - Royal Mail

Although national news has been full of the turmoil within the Post Offices recently; Autotech is helping the regional sorting offices achieve their new targets but supply controls for new conveyor systems at seven separate locations.  The new equipment is due to be installed and commissioned this summer with all sites fully operational by September 2007.

 

February 2007 - Halewood goes live

Autotech are proud to have supported Land Rover and Jaguar to help their new Freelander assembly facility in Halewood achieve it’s production and quality targets.  For the last 12 months our engineers have been working to maximise the performance of the Bodyside and Underbody assembly facilities including to achieve the Ford stringent OPR requirements.

 

December 2006 – Controls for new UPS National Hub by Autotech

UPS have awarded Autotech the £2m contract to implement the controls for their new distribution hub in Tamworth; the facility will be based upon the proven UPS technology and solutions from the US; it will feature for than 180 external docking bays as well as capacity for numerous ‘local’ trucks. The facility much be designed installed and commissioned ready for go live in November 2007.

 

November 2005 – Autotech secure TWO prestigious contracts for Inditex group

Europe’s largest clothing manufacturer INDITEX has awarded FKI Logistex and Autotech large scale logistics projects at it facilities in Barcelona and Zaragoza. The orders (worth in excess of €25m) are to completely upgrade and modernise the existing distribution facilities ensuring the Bershka and Zara brands are delivered in time to the groups worldwide retail network. The new facilities will include 14 Stacker Cranes, 2 Crisplant Sorters, and more that 3000 TGW conveyor modules, all controlled by over 20 Siemens S7 PLCs.

 

September 2005 – Control Panel Assembly business increases

Autotech is continuing to prove it is able to deliver high quality and competitive prices by receiving many repeat orders from Blue Chip customers including Mars and Krause. This year more than 200m of control panels have been assembled plus numerous junction boxes for panel build only customers.

 

August 2005 - Autotech support new facility upgrades within BMW

Working together with mechanical partners Autotech are helping BMW to achieve new increased production levels within their UK facilities in Oxford and Birmingham.

Teams of differently skilled engineers work closely together to ensure considerable care and planning will eliminate any losses during modifications to existing production facilities which are being undertaken over the next 12 months.

 

June 2005 - Autotech Use Advanced Software techniques to ensure quality for Jaguar Cars.

To enable the rapid development of the PLC software for the new Jaguar vehicle at Castle Bromwich Autotech have utilised their ASP (Automated Structured Programming) techniques to great success.
Developing concepts of embedded diagnostics within PLC control logic has enabled Mechanical machine sequences to be converted directly into PLC code.
